Ray Vassallo
Acting Rector
Ray has a multicultural background: born in Egypt of Maltese and Italian descent, but grew up in England since an infant before immigrating to Australia at the age of 16. Ray has worked as an accountant, and has served as a senior pastor at Robertson, and more recently at Yagoona and Condell Park Anglican church for all nations with a 10 year spell as a Senior Assistant Minister at Rooty Hill Multicultural Bible Ministry.
He is passionate about preparing people for Christ’s return, to the glory of God. He loves spending time with people who want to get to know Jesus better and grow in their understanding of God’s word, in Christ-likeness and in their service of Christ and his people. He also enjoys watching soccer, fishing and breeding tropical fish.
In his caretaker role he currently wants to help the church transition to finding a new senior pastor.
Ray is married to Jenny and has three adult children.

Tim Lowth
Student Minister
Tim Lowth is our student minister and leads our Youth group. He is in his fourth and final year of study at Moore Theological College, and is passionate about helping others understand the beauty of God’s mercy & grace shown in Jesus through the gospel. He grew up going to church but found his time at university a real turning point in understanding not only is Jesus a friend and saviour of sinners, but also the eternal King and Lord over all things. That’s when realised he had to surrender control of all of life to him.
Prior to serving in Lugarno, Tim has been involved in ministry in the Wollondilly, Wollongong, and the eastern suburbs of Sydney; and, along with his wife Naomi and son Samuel, are excited about what the future holds in 2024 and beyond.
He is a big fan of Star Wars, coffee, video games, running, and fun socks.
